Photinia fraseri Chico is a brand new variety with a compact habit. It develops a very beautiful rusty orange foliage. Its growth is moderate and remains naturally ball-shaped, so it requires very little pruning. It will not exceed 1 meter high and 0.80 wide which makes it the perfect shrub for borders and small hedges.

The characteristics of PHOTINIA FRASERI CHICO®.
A new variety that has been awarded the Silver Medal of the 2018 Plantarium, Photinia Chico® is very interesting for its foliage and growth habit. It is also very resistant to diseases.
Its foliage offers small, narrow and toothed evergreen leaves of a dark green colour. The young shoots tinted with red and copper contrast with the mature leaves. Its compact and dense growth habit, remaining well rounded and bushy, makes it the ideal shrub for small hedges. Its creamy-white umbellate flowers, about 10cm in diameter, appear in April.
How to use PHOTINIA FRASERI CHICO®.
The Photinia Chico® will be the star of low borders and hedges. Not exceeding 1 meter high and 80cm wide, it will also look great in a planter on a terrace. Photinia Chico® is resistant to cold (-15°C) and sea spray, so it will adapt to all gardens.
What advice can you give for the successful cultivation of PHOTINIA FRASERI CHICO®.
This Photinia does not need to be pruned regularly, a simple trimming will suffice. Plant the Photinia in rich soil, in a sunny or semi-shade situation.
