This ground-cover variety from the Suntropics® series forms a cushion around 20 to 25 cm wide and around 15 cm high. Its succulent evergreen foliage remains decorative all year round, but from spring onwards, it offers colourful blooms from May to October with bright pink corollas enhanced by a white to pale yellow heart, brightening up rock gardens, embankments and low walls.

Characteristics of DELOSPERMA Suntropics ® Hot Pink.
This perennial purslane, which is highly resistant to drought and sea spray, has a spreading, creeping habit that makes it an excellent ground cover. From May to October-November, it produces a colourful cushion of pink with a white to cream centre.
How do I use DELOSPERMA Suntropics ® Hot Pink?
This perennial purslane is highly resistant to drought and sea spray, and is hardy to -5°C. It flourishes easily in large pots on a balcony or terrace, but in winter it needs to be protected indoors, in a conservatory or greenhouse, to preserve its health. In warmer regions, it can be used on a slope, a rockery or at the top of a low wall, in the company of dianthus or wall campanulas.
What advice do you have for growing DELOSPERMA Suntropics ® Hot Pink successfully?
This perennial purslane is very adaptable: it will do well in ordinary, fairly dry, light, well-drained soil, or more generally in poor, stony soil, provided it is light and well-drained. However, it is crucial to avoid excess moisture in winter, as this could prove fatal.
