Cestrum Newellii is a delightful climber with semi-evergreen foliage. Its leaves are velvety and dark green. Intense red flowers begin to appear in May and last until October, taking the form of trumpets. The flowers are grouped together in a floral "ball". This is followed by a series of red berries, much appreciated by birds. It forms a handsome shrub around 3 metres high and with a spread of 1.5 metres, and needs support for its branches in order to flourish.
