This Mediterranean evergreen shrub flowers profusely in spring, with bright pink corollas and golden yellow stamens. Its fragile flowers live only one day but are continually renewed. Its woolly foliage is grey-green and slightly aromatic. Resistant to drought and salty winds, it is suited to dry, poor slopes in full sun.

Cistus x purpureus Alan Fradd is a vigorous shrub, easy to maintain, evergreen and also compacted. It is gifted with a lovely tricolour flowering at the beginning of spring. Its large white flowers have a light golden heart and a nice red purple blemish on every single petal.
