Comméline, native to Mexico, forms a very interesting flowered ground cover for its abundant summer flowering. The intense blue flowers last one day but are continuously renewed between June and August. Not very hardy, Commelina is grown like a Dahlia, with roots pulled out in autumn in regions with cold winters.
