A beautiful contrast between the bronze coloured foliage and the flax blue flowers. The flowers grow above the foliage on slender stems carrying the delicate blue-purple flowers with yellow stamens.

Characteristics of Polemonium Bressingham Purple
Polemonium Bressingham Purple has beautiful flowers of a deep electric lavender blue. The flowers appear in late spring and early summer. They rise in elegant clusters on graceful, sturdy burgundy stems above the delicate foliage. The leaves are highly decorative, fern-like and beautifully coloured. The foliage takes on a rich dark purple hue in spring and autumn. In between, the leaves become slightly greener depending on the intensity of the light.
How to use POLEMONIUM Bressingham purple
This pretty perennial is a must in romantic and informal gardens. In the border, it adds airy height and rich shades of blue in early summer that attract bees and butterflies. It mixes well with mid-shade perennials (Hostas, Brunnera, Ferns...)
Advice on growing POLEMONIUM Bressingham purple
Prefers rich, moist and constantly cool soil. Do not let the soil dry out. Plants do not tolerate the high heat and humidity of deep southern summers. Flowers can be cut back to the foliage after flowering or the foliage, if declining, to encourage a possible late summer bloom.
