The characteristics of Grisellina littoralis.
Vigorous evergreen shrub, the Grisellina littoralis Redge is a slow-growing selection with a maximum growth rate of 30cm/year. The foliage is compact, with tough, glossy leaves of a pretty apple green. It keeps the same characteristics as the classic Grisellines (resistance to dryness, sea spray...).
How to use Grisellina littoralis ?
This variety is especially adapted to the formation of hedges, because the slow growth will reduce the frequency of pruning. This shrub is also an effective wind-breaker, thanks to its dense foliage. It is quite hardy (down to -10°C), accepts all types of well-drained soils and sunny or semi-shade exposure. The Grisellina littoralis shows a good resistance to sea spray, which makes it perfectly suitable for a seaside hedge planting project.
