Wood Euphorbia is an evergreen perennial that grows to a moderate height of no more than 40 cm in all directions. Its compact, rounded habit highlights its ruby-red, almost crimson foliage, which gives it its distinctive name. The young shoots are bright red when they emerge, while the foliage turns almost black in winter. The flowers, framed by bracts, have a chartreuse green tinge that creates a striking contrast with the foliage.
