Cistus pulverulentus is a Mediterranean shrub with evergreen foliage, appreciated for its small, bright pink flowers with yellow centers and its spreading habit from 60 to 80 cm. Versatile, it can be used in beds, borders, rock gardens or ground cover, and can also be grown in containers on terraces.

This undemanding evergreen shrub is easy to grow in country or Mediterranean beds, rock gardens or gravel gardens. Perfect for beds or as tall ground cover.
How to grow Cistus x pulverulentus successfully?
Cistus has a spreading habit (60 cm high by 80 cm wide), and is best planted in sunny situations. It prefers well-drained soil, even if poor and chalky, and does not tolerate excess root moisture in winter. Light pruning is recommended after flowering, but too much could compromise its health. For a good ground cover, plan for around 2 plants per square metre. Hardy down to -12°C, Cistus is remarkably drought-resistant.
