Callistemon 'Red Rocket'® is a small, colourful shrub with bright red young growth on dark green foliage. It is an excellent, low maintenance contrast plant. It grows to about one and a half metres in height, making it perfect for low hedges. You can use it unpruned for informal hedges, but pruned regularly it can create a beautiful hedge with colourful foliage.

Characteristics of Callistemon 'Red Rocket'®.


Callistemon Red Rocket is a small shrub native to Australia. It is a very colourful shrub, producing bright red young shoots that contrast with dark green foliage. The flowering in spikes resembling ecuvillons takes place just afterwards, sometimes with an upturn in autumn. It is a sunny, dry and sea-spray resistant shrub.

How to use Callistemon 'Red Rocket'®.


 Callistemon 'Red Rocket'® is ideal for low hedges, Mediterranean beds, coastal gardens, poolside and mineral gardens. Callistemon 'Red Rocket'® will reach a height of 1-1.5m and a width of 0.8m.

Callistemon 'Red Rocket'® adapts to most soil types, even to dry conditions. It enjoys full sun or part shade. Light pruning once or twice a year will give it a denser habit and red shoots. It tolerates light frosts in the morning.
