Salvia Pink Lips®, is a perennial belonging to the Lamiaceae family and cousin of Hotlips Sage. Salvia is sought after for its abundant and dazzling flowering. This one is carried out from May to October and offers us beautiful bicoloured flowers tinged with pink and white. Its leaves are fragrant, green and semi-persistent. Of medium hardiness, it can withstand frosts down to -10°C.

All details concerning Salvia Pink Lips®®

Salvia Pink Lips®, also known as "sage", offers us beautiful and numerous bicoloured flowers. These are white and pink and open in May. Its foliage is semi-persistent and green. In addition, its shape is dwarf (40cm x 60cm), its habit is compact and bushy, which makes it ideal for pot cultivation.

 

How to use Salvia Pink Lips® ?

This sage will do wonders mixed-border (however if it is thick, count about 3 plants / m² and water regularly in summer to enjoy the many honey flower stems). This one will also be appreciated in pots of balconies and small gardens. It can also be combined with other sage or grass.

What advices to achieve the Salvia Pink Lips®'s growth ?

To make Salvia shine, it is first offered a sunny location. In cold winter regions, it is advisable to protect it and mulch your foot.  In early spring, the foot should be gently cleared and folded down to 10cm to stimulate the emergence of new branches.
