Hosta tardiana Halcyon, is a very beautiful variety with large, glaucous blue leaves. The rounded leaves are thick and waxy, ending in a point. Flowering starts in June and continues into the summer. Elegant floral panicles protrude from the foliage bearing several light lilac to white bells. A remarkable variety in the garden because of the colour of its foliage which brightens up dark corners of the garden. It thrives in part shade in cool soil.
