White sage or sacred sage for the Amerindians. It produces long, silvery-grey, downy and aromatic oblong leaves. In spring, it produces very large spikes of very fragrant white flowers.

Characteristics of the SALVIA apiana
SALVIA apiana is characterised by its leaves covered with dense white hairs which give the plant its specific colour. The whitish evergreen leaves contain oils and resins that give off a strong aroma when rubbed. The dried leaves are burnt and used in many religious rituals to purify places and people. It flowers from April to July. The flowers are white with lavender streaks, hermaphroditic and attract many pollinating insects.
How to use the SALVIA apiana
With its beautiful silvery grey leaves, it can be planted in Mediterranean beds with lavender, rosemary, etc. It can also be planted in the vegetable garden, in borders or in pots.
