What tips do you have for growing Hydrangea petiolaris successfully?

A shady spot is ideal for growing Hydrangea climbers, and they adapt to a variety of soil types, with the exception of limestone. If your soil is poor, remember to fertilise it to encourage growth. This plant is cold hardy down to -25°C, or even colder if placed in a sheltered spot. In winter, don't forget to prune back dead branches to promote health and flowering.
