This rhizomatous, evergreen grass has several attractive features. Firstly, its narrow, soft-green foliage is light and airy, delicately hemmed with silky white hairs. This foliage retains its decorative appeal throughout the year. From May to July-August, this relatively loose clump gives rise to snowflake-like inflorescences of a delicate off-white hue.
