Hydrangea paniculata Early Harry® is the earliest of the Hydrangeas, beginning to flower in May with the appearance of the first white buds on red wood. The conical inflorescences consist of sterile flowers on the outside and tiny fertile flowers in the centre. As the flowering progresses, the colours change from creamy white to pale pink.

The characteristics of HYDRANGEA paniculata Early Harry®.
Hydrangea paniculata Early Harry® is, as its name suggests, very early. The buds start to form as early as the month of May and fade away at the end of May and beginning of June. The inflorescences are similar to those of Kyushu and have two types of flowers. On the outside small sterile flowers open, while those in the centre are small flowers with stamens. The flowers are white when they open, turning cream in summer and pale pink with a green tinge at the end of the flowering period. Hydrangea paniculata Early Harry® has a dense, compact habit and will reach a spread of 70cm.
How to use HYDRANGEA paniculata Early Harry®.
HYDRANGEA paniculata Early Harry® can be combined with other hydrangea varieties in mid-shade, with other flowering perennials (gaura, perovskias, grasses...) for a bohemian spirit in the sun. Combined with Acer palmatum, Viburnum Lanarth, Azaleas for an Asian garden. Its dimensions allow it to be grown in pots or tubs.
How to grow HYDRANGEA paniculata Early Harry® successfully.
The HYDRANGEA paniculata Early Harry® likes sun (not burning) or half-shade, in a humus-rich and fresh soil. The plant should be mulched to avoid excessive watering in summer.
