Agave parryi ssp parryi is a compact variety forming a dense rosette. The grey-blue foliage of oval shape is very thick and bordered with black spines. The Agave creates a dense, regular and almost symmetrical rosette.

The characteristics of the AGAVE parryi ssp parryi.
Native to the mountains of Mexico and the south of the United States, the Agave parryi ssp parryi is a beautiful Agave adapted to cold and rainy climatic conditions. The foliage is lanceolate, very regular, of a beautiful glaucous green becoming almost silver in summer. The spines bordering the leaves are black, rather fine. The rosette is very geometrical with a perfect symmetry. It has a low growth rate of 70cm at 10 years, but produces many shoots.

The Agave parryi ssp parryi has a very good rusticity and can be planted in the ground in most regions. It will also thrive in a large container on a terrace or patio. It is associated with Yuccas, Dasylirions, Aloes and other Agaves for a Dry & Design Garden effect.
What advice to give for a successful culture of the AGAVE parryi ssp parryi.
The Agave parryi ssp parryi needs full sun for it to bloom fully. It supports the poor and dry grounds but grows better in rich grounds provided that they are drained, in particular in winter.
